Da GeigerInnen und BratscherInnen immer wieder in die Lage kommen, das jeweils andere Instrument zu spielen, behandelt das Seminar aus eigener langjähriger Erfahrung mit beiden Instrumenten anhand praktischer Demonstrationen die Unterschiede der Instrumentaltechnik und der klanglichen Möglichkeiten.
Dies betrifft neben der Wahl eines passenden Instruments die unterschiedliche Handhabung des Bogens (Bogengeschwindigkeit, Artikulation, Kontaktstellen, Kontakt zur Saite, Wahl der Bogenstriche etc.) ebenso wie die etwas divergierenden Möglichkeiten der Technik des linken Arms (Fingersatz, Streckungen, hohe Lagen, Vibrato-Gebrauch, Fingerartikulation etc.)

Since violinists and violists occasionally want to play the other instrument, the seminar shows the differences of the intrumental technique and the sound possibilities based on many years of my own experience with both instruments.
In addition to the choice of a suitable instrument, this applies to the different handling of the bow (bow speed, articulation, contact points, contact with the string, choice of bow strokes, etc.) as well as the different possibilities of the technique of the left arm (fingering, extensions, high positions, use of vibrato, finger articulation etc.)
